The sixth grade will have an opportunity to take part in a week-long educational field trip to Ferry Beach Ecology School in Saco, Maine. The trip is scheduled for Monday, May 1, 2017 through Friday, May 5, 2017.
The cost of the trip is $365.00 and covers transportation, lodging, all meals, and lessons for the 5 days. In order to accommodate students and families, we will be using a payment plan to help minimize the cost. The first nonrefundable deposit of $50.00 will be due on Wednesday, November 2nd, which will hold your student’s spot on this trip. The second payment of $160.00 will be due on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, and the third payment of $155.00 will be due on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Students can pass in payments to their homeroom teachers. Please make checks payable to J.G. Whittier Middle School.
If you are interested in chaperoning this field trip, please contact us so that we can make sure all of your required forms have been completed in the office. If you have not filled out a CORI form, please do so as soon as possible. We will let prospective chaperones know of their acceptance in the winter.
This is a great opportunity for the sixth grade students and we would like to see as many students attend this trip as possible. It is an experience that will last a lifetime!
