Dear Students and Families,

On Friday, December 1st, you will be taking the Number Sense Assessment. The following standards will be tested:

**The Number System**

** Compute fluently with multi-digit numbers and find common factors and multiples.**
- Fluently divide multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm.
- Fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation.
- Use prime factorization to find the greatest common factor of two whole numbers less than or equal to 100 and the least common multiple of two whole numbers less than or equal to 12.

**Expression and Equations**

** Apply and extend previous understandings of arithmetic to algebraic expressions. **
- Write and evaluate numerical expressions involving whole-number exponents.

You will be allowed to use your math notebook when taking the test. Please review your notes each night to help you study. If you need copies of the notes, please see me. A test alert letter was sent home today with students. If you sign and return it by Friday, 5 points will be added to the test.

If you study the material, know the vocabulary, review your notes, and paid attention in class, you will do very well on the test. Please contact me if you have any questions.
