Sixth graders at JG Whittier Middle School are planning to hold an assembly to honor veterans on Thursday, November 10th from 9am-11am. Following the History Channel’s “Take a Vet to School” program, sixth graders will plan and run the assembly honoring veterans (from about 9-10am). After the assembly, we will break out into smaller groups, and students will have the opportunity to interview veterans.
If you are a veteran and would like to volunteer, please fill out the form and return it to me by Friday, November 4th. Thank you!
There will be an informational meeting about the Grade 6 Field Trip to Ferry Beach tonight in the cafeteria from 6:30-7:30 pm. We hope to see you there!
Are you as excited for the field trip tomorrow as I am? Please remember to bring a lunch and wear comfortable sneakers.
There will be a science test on Friday, October 28, 2016. Students have been learning about the thinking skills scientists use. To help them study, students began creating a brochure about the skills scientists use that will count as a test grade. Some students did not finish during the class time given and will need to finish it for homework. The brochure is due Friday, October 28th. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Thank you!
The Green Team will be meeting this Wednesday, October 19th from 2:50-3:20 in Room 10. Please bring a tin can if you have one. We hope to see you there!
